How does a YouTube channel ownership transfer work?

The seller invites your Google account as an Owner of the channel's Brand Account. You accept the invitation, and after Google's 7-day security hold you are made Primary Owner and the seller is removed. No passwords change hands at any point.

• 3 · You accept it from the email or in YouTube Studio → Settings → Permissions
